Title 15 of the Texas Election Code requires political committees to use best efforts to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions equal or exceed $500 during an election cycle. Texas Election Code prohibits contributions to the campaign from the general treasury account maintained by a corporate entity. Under state law, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, and PACs may contribute to political campaigns. Contributions from corporations, labor organizations, or foreign nationals who have not been granted permanent residence in the United States are not acceptable. Contributions are not deductible for Federal income tax purposes.
